Back in April 2024 the Town of Dannemora indicated they believe the current Ag & Market Law works fine for them, but that if the majority of towns support a countywide law, they would as well. Still, their legislator Francis Peryea voted down the county law denying us a public hearing twice claiming “his towns don’t want it.” Dannemora represents half of Francis Peryea’s area.
We visited the Dannemora town meeting on July 30, 2025. It went very well, and everyone was kind. They are working on adding a few lines to stop 24/7 dog tethering to their dog law, and will schedule their public hearing this fall.
